After walking away from the odd assortment they went arm in arm into the park behind a few shops. It was mildly crowded, but empty enough to where no one was near them and the noise of the crowd was still close enough to drown out their conversation. He lead her to a bench and offered her a seat first before he himself took one, placing one arm on the back of the bench and one on his knee, near her.

"Well now, since we are finally alone why don't you dropped the act. I know who you are. Like me, your appearance sells away who you are. Why don't we act straight with one another."

He has a calm expression as he speaks with her, but is looking straight ahead, keeping her in his peripheral vision in case she moves or reacts badly to being reviled.

Madam Red took her large red hat off and looked straight at Kurin. She liked his forwardness and also his discretion. He wouldn't die just yet for associating Angelina Durless to Madam Red.
She took seat on the bench with an elegant move and crossed her legs, placing her hat on her lap and joining her two hands together on her stomach, like a real lady would do. She had manners, even though she was now a killer for the most part, not having many occasions to show off her social ways of being.

Even though she was known as being a rather crude and shameless woman in high society, she was in fact quite a sober person, who actually hated such behavior. Her only frivolous side would be her love for clothing and jewels, on which she spend most of her pay on. She liked having decent conversations with people, especially educated ones who hadn't any narrowed minds about aesthetics, loyalty, killing and what not else that could be turned into acid words filled with lies and clashing feelings.
Yes, Madam Red was a killer. But that didn't mean she had always been proud of it. In fact, deep inside of her, she couldn't forgive herself and it tortured her like poison in her bones, making her feel old or simply like a monster - monster that she was already in the eyes of society.

She wasn't bothered by having been lead away by the Kaguya - he had nothing offensive of his aura, just suspicions and some wariness for her. She could understand that. Anyone would be like that thanks to her reputation. But his question did trigger something in her chest, a rather unpleasant feeling.
Bloody Angelina closed her ruby eyes and sighed softly. She wasn't in the mood to enter a fight, nor did she have any will to enter on enemy territory around this young man. He was far too interesting to be enemies with him and she was even, yes, attracted to him. It had been a long time since that had happened. In fact, from the day her sister and her husband had died.

"I see...Well. I supposed I should introduce me properly then. Or would those formalities be unnecessary, Kaguya-san?" she asked calmly, keeping her eyes lowered, showing that she wasn't planning anything.

As she seated himself and asked him the question Kurin kept hi gaze forward. So, he was right, that wasn't a big surpise, but the fact that she was being open with him..maybe she actually could be someone he could grow to become close allies with. Kurin was used to peopel of her ,presumed, sort. After all, in the eyes of those who had heard stories about him, he was no better then her. The difference being he had loyalty to only the Swamp.

He had expected her to be hostile to being exposed, but this was different. Could he have a strange affection for her after seeing her openness with him? He, like her, was known as a killer, the Swamps Dead Man. Many had fallen by him and she had recognized him instantly. Of course this was no surprises given who she was. People of their stature and reputation knew each other,if not personally then through reputation and description. He was wary of her, although her defense was to play coy with her chakra to mask who she was..now she asked if a proper introduction was necessary.

He made a decision. He was an honorable man who held his word, that didn't mean was incapable of committing extremely dangerous crimes and killing, he did that to when he needed to. Most of the time though it was at the command of the Swamp Kage or in defense of his life or another. He didn't do it for fun, although sometimes his blood lust, his inner demon, got the best of him in combat and it might seem like he was enjoying it. Everyone had their own burdens...

Regardless he was going to be straight with this...attractive women. Completely, and he hoped he would receive the same back from her, if from nothing else then from professional respect.
"I think that'd be best for the both of us, so when are completely clear on who we are and our motives here. I am Kurin Kaguya, and as you know I am known as the Swamps Dead Man."
He paused turning to look at her with his calm expression.
"And I am...for lack of a better way to put it, interested in you."

He kept his gaze on her, reading her reaction and awaiting her reply. He did not lie in any case. HE was interested in her for a number of reasons. One being what she could offer as an ally. Great skill, strength and cunning, much like himself, but also..he was interested in her as a women. She was attractive, no man could deny that and very unique in her own way. Kurin liked that and admired her strength and reputation. He knew what it took to create a good rep and she had a great one. A women clearly with many skills...he wondered just how many.

Well...this was actually more or less expected from the Kaguya. He was known to be a "gentleman" compared to most killers around.
But, hearing and seeing him act like one unsettled Madam Red. Usually, men would grope or grasp for what she had to offer. It was disgusting really (okay, she had to blame herself for it too, but still) and also gave her often the wrong image of men.

The man, who had loved her sister had complimented her. When he had married her sister, she had been trying so hard to be happy for them, that she all forgot about herself. When they died and when men were starting to try to grab and grope at her, she saw suddenly men under a darker light, making of them as well as female shinobi her favorite targets; them being poor, rich, strong or weak, it didn't matter. Anyone that grabbed and groped had to die. All those who wanted to have their womb removed had to die - it was without a surprise that she had been forbidden to take such cases in her village hospital.

He had asked for a full presentation, politely and nicely, executing himself first. Again, she appreciated his direct answers with his clear voice, which wasn't trying to hide anything away.
"My name would be Angelina Durless. Madam Red or Bloody Angelina are my aliases. I am part of the Demon country and loyal to it even though I am a part time mercenary. I am quite please to meet you, Sir Kaguya."
She thought for a moment about his second phrase, but finally took a decision.
"Oh? My I inquire know what for interest you have in me?" she asked, tilting her head to the left.

Watching her think over what he had said and his introduction, he began to start thinking ahead. Of things he needed to do and things that were the most pressing. He needed to head back to The Swamp, but this meeting was clearly very important, not just for what it could mean for the Swamp, but he...he did want to stay near her for more selfish reasons.

She introduced herself fully, reveling her full alias and her professions. She also added she was pleased to meet him. He felt joy rise from within him, but did not let it show. Not yet. As a Kaguya it was easy and natural form him to hide his emotions behind his calm expression, but also he still wasn't sure about her completely.

She took interest in his interest in her. He gave a small smirk as he looked forward again.
'It is mainly professional, I cannot deny. There are things that, if i'm not mistaken, your particular skills would be perfectly suited for. It would also be challenging..if you are interested that is."

Pausing a moment to let her think about that he continued,
"I also have an interest about you, as a person,"
Looking at her now with his clam eyes,
"You are quite intriguing Madam Red."

He simply gazed at her, gauging her reaction to this. He was being straight forward with her and was prepared to answer anything she had a desire for knowing. He would not lie to her, after all he was respectable and wanted a strong foundation for their relationship between them and starting that with lies would lead no where but trouble. He then looked forward and spoke again.

"I would ask you to travel with me. My time is short and I would like to become closer with you if you do wish to work with me, as I wish to work with you. If you wouldn't mind traveling with me to the Swamp and so forth until you are ready to set forth the task I have in mind. If you have any prior obligation, I would be inclined to assist you as well. What do you think Ms. Durless?"

He let silence settle as he looked forward, still keeping her in his peripheral vision, waiting for her to consider all he had said. He realized it was a load and was prepared to wait for her response. And waiting, was not something eh liked to do when important matters could be at hand.

She had to admit, the offer the Kaguya proposed was quite tempting: having free company, ready to help out who wasn't all too bad as conversation partner sounded like a gift fallen from the sky to any random person.

But, Madam Red couldn't but to feel suspicious from it. It was too perfect, too good to be real and it was in her nature to be careful of any friendly propostions. Shehad a rather confidetial mission to execute, which wasn't to be taken lightly either.
She had heard rumors in the village already, about a violent bomb user, who was the host of the Kyuubi, the Nine Tailed Fox. Other people whispered about a cruel Kage who had a wife and two children and lastly, there was the wife herself, of which she hadn't heard much other than that she was a rather discreet person.

Nothing that sounded very impressive, except for the Kage himself, a man that was striving to surpass Orochimaru, the infamous snake sannin from the old legends. In fact, she failed to understand why her own Kage was so interested in the village of Forsaken Heavens, seeing the low number of rumors of strong shinobi from there that there was to be heard. Even the best guarded secrets had it's own rumors and right now, the biggest secret would be the Smoking Bomb Hayato. Quite a mighty name for such a puny child filled with the demon Kyuubi if you asked her opinion about it.
She had already decided to leave the mission upon those informations and focus on meeting the lat Xzeno master in Forsaken Heavens.

But back to the Kaguya. She was god in reading people and feeling muder intents and right now, the man didn't seem to have any. In fact, apart from being quite bold and determinded, he was relaxed, if not simply keeping some of his guard down, conversing with her as ifshe was a normal ninja, if not an ally, not showing her any possible hostility he could have for her. It was...nice to be honest.
"I'm flattered , Kaguya-san." she replied calmly. "Though I may wan't to warn you that I am quite a difficult character to work with, as I have been working on my own for all my shinobi years so to say. If this doesn't bother you, I shall apply myself upon adapting myself to team up with you. I am quite enthusiast in the prospect of working along side of you."

Then, she remembered his last words, telling her that he hadn't much time. As Bloody Angelina still was a doctor in the first place and that her first nature was to worry and love all people she met, she could hear some words slip her lips, which were interlaced with worry and concern.
"What do you mean with not much time, Kaguya-san? Is an illness shortening your life span or is it the time that you have left before joining the troups of your village to rage war upon the Village hidden in the Wind? Or is it both?"She had heard that the last Kaguya, the one who had lived several hundreds of years, had been of a weak constitution and died slowly and painfully while trying with all it's might to defend his masters interests. He failed against the wielder of the Ichibi and a young taijutsu genin, of which's name escaped her. And that knowledge made her actually worry about herjust accepted and temporary partner.
Worry she didn't like to have; it made her feel soft, as if she was losing her touch.

The corner of his mouth rose slightly as he could sense a bit of worry in her question. She was well informed on the past, which was rare these days. Not many knew of his ancestors other then they were powerful Bone shinobi with a strange blood line. She knew that, occasionally, members of his clan developed a deadly disease in their body that ate away at them shortening their lives substantially. Fortunately, he did not have this illness. His cousin on the other hand did have a terrible disease, but that was besides the point. He pushed such thoughts from his head for the moment, returning to the conversation.

"No Angelina-san, I do not have any disease. Although you're knowledge of my clan is quite impressive. As for the reason my time is cut short, my village is in a very heated state with the land of Wind, as you know. Being who I am, I cannot stay away for long, in case I am needed to act either in defense of my village form the enemy or attack them. And I have been away far to long as it is."

He paused again, taking a breath and standing to his full height and truing to look at her, gazing in her eyes ad finding...a mix of pain and...peace if he wasn't mistaken. He was finding peace, if not her own, then peace for himself in her eyes.

"As for you being difficult, I sure we can manage. As i'm sure you have heard I myself have never had a partner and have been on my own for quite some time. I feel times are going to grow difficult for everyone soon."

He was still looking into her eyes as he asked,
"Would you be by my side through those times, loyal to me? I am willing to do the same for you Angelina-san. Shall we surprise the world together?"

He ment all of his words, maybe more then he even knew. Strange feelings were welling up as he looked into her eyes as he waited for a response.

PostSubject: Re: The Park   The Park Icon_minitime1Sat Apr 30, 2011 4:53 pm

Pft. How cheesy. So cheesy that it made Madam Red, yes, Angelina Durless smile.

She shook her head, the smile grazing her lips and her eyes looking down at her hat that was still on her lap, suddenly not being able to look up at him. She was feeling weak suddenly. Weak like before she had become Madam Red, too open, too close to someone, not hiding well enough who she was, unguarded for any other psychological wound.
It annoyed her, how he used the same name, as that man, her sister's husband used to call her. It made Angelina feel exposed, as if she had come back in time and had become the little, naive young girl from that time.

When she heard him say he was doing well health speaking, she felt relief wash over her and her tense shoulders relaxed slightly, giving her a less stiff aspect. But hearing him talking about having to defend the village made her feel uncomfortable. Her sister's husband had been killed in duty. While she barely knew this man, she was already associating his death to something as painful as that of Tsuna had been. She felt sick of herself for having put them on the same level. Was it because she thought of another man than him or because she already imagined the Kaguya dead?
Not really knowing what to answer to that, she softly nodded, and her her hat somewhat tighter, her knuckles whitening some more.

She did know he hadn't worked with a partner. But she also knew that he wasn't someone who'd randomly snap and kill. She just killed, killed, killed, watched the rain of blood fall while singing this sick melody that came in her mind while laughing or smiling like a child that watched snow falling.
She wondered somewhat if he was the same. If he also simply killed like her.
No, he didn't. He had raised and still was raising children of his clan and some mysterious twins. He wasn't a killer who killed for fun. If he was, he would have murdered his own family. She...would have killed them. For being children, for being beings she couldn't carry anymore in her life.
But, when he said he'd also put efforts in their cooperation, she felt some worry dissipate. It might go well after all. She looked up again, staring directly in his eyes when he asked her if she wanted to stay loyal to him as he'd stay loyal to her and they'd surprise the world together.

The idea amused and interested her. She knew that he was on par with her powers, if not superior. He knew how to speak, how to act and was a born leader. Being around him wasn't such an unpleasant idea.
"This pretty much sounds as if you'd ask me to marry you." she replied, teasingly. "But of course. I do like the idea of staying at your side."
She stood graciously up and bowed to the man in sign of respect and submission. Then, she rose her eyes up again, a satisfied and almost happy smile on her lips.
"Please do take care of me now that I've sworn to remain loyal to your side."

Observing her shoulders drop made him a bit nervous. He didn't know what she would say to his request. He was putting himself out there a bit but for great gain sometimes you really have to put yourself out there. She spoke to him and made a joke which brought a small smirk to his face, and when she stood and bowed to him he was satisfied he had accomplished his task of gaining her loyalty. He bowed to her in the same sign of respect. She told him to take care of her now that she had sworn loyalty to his side.

With a small smile he replied,
"I can't promise no had will ever hurt you, but I can promise that if any hand is raised against you it will be quickly severed and used to kill the one who would raise it in the first place."

He turned, putting her to his back and looking over his shoulder.
"And if I were asking you to marry me you would know it Madam Red."

He took a few steps forward thinking maybe he was too blunt with his first statement, then realizing that it was true. He had no need to sugar coat it for her and promising her complete safety was unrealistic, she would know that. But he knew that she would know he was serious and completely capable of doing as he said he would.
Now it was time to head back to the swamp, and assuming Shinji would be moving back as well, catch up to his subordinate. With his new found ....partner Angelina, the three of them may be able to execute a plan of his before even getting back to the village. He stopped walking and looked back at her.

"Well are you coming? or do I have to carry you already?"
he asked her with a smirk on his face.

He knew he had gotten into a very interesting relationship with this rather beautiful and completely physically appealing to him. Not only that she was very smart and, if the rumors were correct she was a very skilled shinobi. This was going to get very interesting indeed.

Madam Red shook her head, placing her large red hat on her head, hiding her eyes in the shadows made by the sun and the large border of it. Then, she took her time to dust her dress off and grab her gloves from her pocket, to put them slowly on, in a rather calculated manner, still teasing the man.

Warm feelings were bubbling in her chest and she had decided to keep enjoying them. It was nice to have a change for once. And his words, although filled with hard reality were more reassuring than the best formulated promises for a perfect protection.
She could defend herself and having someone that'd swear to keep her safe no matter what would have been awkward and simply unnecessary. She'd probably dismiss that person either way. But this was more reassuring - to know that he'd make sure that the opponent would pay for it's wrong doing.

She watched his back, while he walked calmly away. He was tall and had a broad chest. She was sure that all the muscles were trained to near perfection and it's skin unaffected by the constant use of his bones. It was sort of reassuring to know that your partner was strong, even when you knew that you were strong too. At least you didn't carry a certain burden on your shoulders on your own.

Angelina took the mans arm, holding it firmly with her two hands and nodded towards the road.
"Well, shall we...Kurin-san?"

She grasped his arm and seemed prepared to leave. He looked forward again and smiled to himself. The people around them had no idea of the powerful alliance that had just been formed. Well onward to the Swamp. He wondered what task Han-sensai would have for him if he would have one at all. No, wishful thinking, he would almost defensively have a task for him. If not he already knew what he would do. Especially with his new found alliance.
With her in tow, they seemed to vanish in the air as they preformed a body flicker and began their travels. Moving swiftly to the Swamp and whatever adventures would await this new power pair.
