Well. They managed somehow to get mid-way the mountain in less than half a day.

And Bookwoman, not being a person to complain or to whine, was about to break into cries of the pain from her head and feet. She had blisters, scraped knees and arms and a huge bump on her head, courtesy of Yakate not watching out while moving a branch out of his way and releasing it before she had been able to pass the obstacle along.

The spot on which they had finally arrived, was a circular small valley, without much obstacles and some nice grass that tickled their feet. The few trees were intensely green, sign of spring and beginning of the summer. A nice little breeze passed in the air, refreshing them from their climb.

Bookwoman let herself plop down on a large rock, crossed her arms and declared:
"I'm not moving anymore."

Chiriko had been fallowing Yakate and Asa silently up the mountain, upon seeing Asa decide she was done walking and sitting down refusing to go any farther a small frown spread over his face. Chiriko was tired himself, but he didn't want to stop. He wanted to get to the place Yakate was taking them as fast as possible so they could begin there training. 'lazy woman....' he thought silently to himself with a sigh.

"Well if were stopping here...I'm going to go wander around for a little bit...check out the mountain...see if theres anything interesting around." He said, when in truth he wanted to go find a mid-sized animal to kill so he could feed the shukaku's hungger and hopefully once again have some quiet for a short period of time.

Yakate took Chiriko's hint kindly. It wasn't that he approved of the murder of harmless little animals, it was just that if it weren't little animals, it would be Yakate and Asa. And he didn't know about Booky, but he did not want to die yet.

'Go on...'

When Chi left, he finally turned to Asa. He found it funny that he ignored her bigotry, although she seemed to act completely normal after it. Nevertheless, his smile remained on his lips as he trotted forwards and sat on the large rock with her.

'How long do you think our supplies will last us?'

Bookwoman kicked irritadely in the supplies bag, which she had dropped on the ground next to her. She had been the one carrying it, the two sand bastards not even proposing her to help.

Cringing at the kick, she quickly took her boots off and cursed loudly when she saw that her left foot was bleeding. She ripped the last of her shirt off, wrapping her foot in it, leaving her bare chest apart from the bindings that flattened her already almost non-existant chest. She couldn't care less about what Yakate or Chiriko saw, because if they said something about it, she would murder them, brother/friend or not.

"A few days, since I was smart enough to think about your huge stomach, Idiotic Rapunzel." she snapped at him.

Chiriko nodded as walked off, traveling a good half a mile or so before stopping and waiting for any animals to pass. While waiting he sat down on a large rock and began meditating waiting for the perfect moment. After several minutes passed a mid-sized mountain lion was noticed as it walked up the mountain side. Raising his right hand slightly sand began to float out of his gourd and rap itself around the mountain lion until all you saw was a large ball of sand floating a few inches above the ground. "Enjoy your feast Shukaku." He said as he closed his right hand in a fist he laughed as the sand enclosed around the lion and completely crushed it. The sand quickly absorbed the blood before returning to the gourd, leaving not a single trace of the mountain lion behind.

With that Chiriko jumped down from the rock and made his back to the clearing where Yakate and Asa waited.

He could only chuckle at Asa's remark, and in silence, they awaited Chi's approach. Yes, Yakate could've started some of his training with Asa, but that would've been disrespectful to Chi - When they train, they'll do it together. That is, at the same time. They won't be doing the same thing.

When Chiriko walked towards him, he could sense that he had had his meal - or rather, the Shukaku. He got up from the rock, not bothering to beat the dust off his behind.

'Chi, you decide. Do we spend the rest of the night here, resting, or do we proceed up the mountain?'

Rest was attracting him dearly, but Yakate was more than prepared to resume his climb up the mountain. He had his rest, and he wasn't feeling at all drowsy. And Asa could be persuaded. To do anything.

Bookwoman was now silently wishing and praying they wouldn't have to walk any more. She couldn't move a foot anymore, literally.
So, she send a glare and evil aura at the kid, telling him -not- to reply to move even higher in the mountain. If he did that, she'd make sure all the food stays with her and that she'd go at her own pace back home.

Running a hand through her short hair in an irritated motion, she groaned and leaned back against on her hands that were placed on the rock behind her. She wasn't lazy. Just practical. And having a foot already injured and not treating it before even training was just plain stupid to do. She needed a river and fresh bandages; she just needed to find the river now.

"I will kill the Sand Rat if he he says to move on..." she mumbled for herself.

Chiriko nodded as Yakate gave him the option to continue on or rest here. He could tell that Asa apparently wasn't used to the harsh environment him and yakate where, the two of them could easily travel several more hours before they needed to rest. "I'd like to continue going Yakate-Sensei, however by the looks of it if we do she won't continue on with us...maybe you should try that floaty sand thing again? I'm sure she wouldn't mind that." He said with a small chuckle.

The idea was ingenious, but it wasn't really plausible. Yakate only used the technique when he was in the desert; it was easier to gather sand, and if he lost balance, he would be able to fall on a soft cushion. The main problem at the moment, however, was the lack of usable sand.

... No, that wasn't a problem. There was soft ground here.

'Well, both of you can doze off if you want. If I ascend our group to the top, it'll be quite boring to stay awake...'

Saying so, Yakate walked around, taking firm steps to discover the spot where the ground was the softest. He couldn't. Frustrated, he slammed his hands on the ground. After about a second, a large pile of sand rose up to the surface; the ground he was standing on hurdled downwards. It was only with a quick leap that Yakate avoided a 2-meter long fall.

Hey presto. Sand. Just enough to let two humans sleep and let one human just barely stand on two feet.

Compressing the sand into a similar platform shape, he gestured for Chi and Asa to join him on the platform, while taking a step up onto it.

Bookwoman, upon hearing the emphase upon her name, tried to give a death glare to him, but failed from the fact she started to see blue glowing spots instead of a human. Thus, she quickly adverted her eyes, looking down at the huge clump of sand, which was also glowing blueish, from the chakra that had been fused in it. But it didn't stop her from snapping at the younger student:
"Well, sorry for being so useless. I'll make sure I won't get in your way anymore, Chiriko-sama."
She felt bitter from the obvious insinuation in his words that she was slow and weak.

The view was familiar, almost reassuring and natural for her. In fact, seeing colors had always been strange and the Bookmen always scolded her for having strange habits of fixing people's lower torso, frowning, as if she was looking for something.
Glacing at the lower torso of Yakate, she saw a large ball of blue fire burning, calmly and almost lazily. It was hazy and missed precision, but she was sure she just saw how Yakate's chakra worked while using the sand.

Chiriko jumped right up onto the platform, "so..Yakate-Sensei...What will we be training once we reach this destination of yours?" He asked curiously. As he stood there quietly waiting for an answer, resting was beyond his grasp. This was something yakate should know, do to the one-tailed bijuu that had been sealed within him all his life, he had only slept a few times in his life and never once had it been a calm sleep.

[OOC: I'll assume Asa's already on the platform. o.o]

With clumsy effort, he constricted the sand on the three pairs of feet, although it was rather unnecessary. It was unlikely that any of them would fall through all the sand below them. He stood still for a few seconds, during which Chi asked him a question. His answer came while he was elevating the group upwards.

'I'll teach you to... Do what I just did to draw sand. You need to know what to do when you don't have any sand near you. And after that... well, let's keep that a secret for now.

Asa also gets training.'

... And he just stopped.

He had no idea what he was going to teach Asako in a mountain. But he was sure he could come up with something... sooner or later.

Bookwoman was being childish and she knew it.

She had turned her back to the two males, pouting and huffing silently, her arms crossed over her chest. She was angry at Chiriko, again. And again for the same reasons; he had 'stolen' Yakate from her and was 'ignoring' her. She was also midly mad at Yakate for being so 'infatuated' with his student and placing him as priority and merely stating her name for just stating it.
She wasn't dumb; he couldn't teach her much now, with her eyes that were blind now and seeing strange lines and points and large lakes made of the same glowing blue that filled the former. She could see everything, just not as a normal human being. And since she had a photographic memory and had read some before leaving, she had deduced she had a Kekkai Genkai that allowed her to see the chakra systems in all beings, living or not, that was in a range of around 100 to 150 meters if she focused hard enough.

It was fun, she deduced from it, to see such strange things. She throuroughly enjoyed herself like a kid with a new toy and tried to see as much as possible. It was as if she was a natural with it, like, she was born to be seeing the world like this. Kicking the unwelcome, but present, memories aside, she kept on staring around, smiling softly.
She'd find eventually some way to train. She had already something to entertain herself with; she could see from behind her Yakate's chakra system. It had been severely damaged before, she could see the repairs and many healings that had been done on several spots. She could try to embrace healing jutsus maybe?

Remembering suddenly that she had no 'rank', she suddenly asked to Yakate, while ignoring perfectly Chiriko:
"Say, Idiotic Rapunzel, what's my rank if I'm your student?"
