Appearance: Ryo looks average at first glance, but his remarkable blue eyes usually pulls your attention back. He is of average height with tan skin from spending much time under the sun training and traveling. His body is hard and toned from countless hours of training. A tattoo of a dark blue trident rests on the underside of his right forearm. His hair is blue with a spot of white in the front that generally sticks up naturally. He normally wears a long sleeved shirt with blue sleeves with a slight v in the neck. Atop this he wears a blue jacket with dark blue detail. Across this he wears a brown strap with a sword case which holds his sword. this can be worn hilt over his shoulder or sideways across his back, the hilt protruding past his left arm and usually drawn under the arm by the right hand. On the strap there is a place for his village symbol. He wears black pants normally with a blue kuni holster on his right thigh and a dark gray item pouch on the back left side of his pants. His shoes are black sandal type shoes with blue detail.

Personality: Ryo is normally chill and clam when around his friends and elders. However he can become very energetic about missions, his friends, and big issues, things that he feels strongly for. He is often very happy and sometimes simple things can make him so. He loves being near water and in nature. Something about it calms him and helps him think clearly. Things in nature amaze him and thus he enjoys spending time in scenic places and enjoying the time he has with people. When it comes to new people he tends to be very welcoming and kind. He cannot stand someone to disrespect him and only gives respect to those you give it in return. However those who treat women, children, or in some instances even when the week are treated badly or violently he believes deserve no mercy and he will act if he see’s it take place.

Name: Mizukami
Description: A blade slightly longer then others, with a very sharp edge. It’s handle is covered in bandage to allow for extra grip. The metal of the blade is made of is very special and has qualities that make it excellent for running electrical currents through using his lightning nature. There is a special blue part of the sword that makes it even more fascinating. This is a unique rocklike metal forged into the sword that allows the sword to absorb water of any kind (except that created by or being used by chakra) and turn it into chakra that is then transferred to the wielder of the sword. This is a slow process and adds chakra slowly to the user. A way of building chakra before an attack or to replenish after a battle. However it transfers much to slow to be helpful during a fight so it cannot be used as a way to have unlimited chakra. It is said to be a very particular sword, and very choosy with whom uses it. It can be called to it’s wielder and once it chooses someone to wield it cannot be used by anyone else unless it is gifted from the current user. A blue water symbol hangs from a small chain at the end of the hilt.

Name: Suri
Description: The only thing besides his tattoo on his arm that reminds Ryo of his past. This special kuni has no special features it is simply special to the one who holds it. It stays strapped to his left leg, near his ankle, out of sight beneath this pants.

Scrolls
Name: Toko Enkai
Description: Meaning Endless Ocean, This scroll is one of two scrolls. These form a special connection, one lies with Ryo, the other he placed, open at the bottom of the ocean. Once he opens his scroll and activates it, the two act as a pipeline to each other, allowing the scroll at the bottom of the ocean to transfer water to anywhere Ryo is until Ryo deactivates his end of the connection to use again later. If one scroll is destroyed it means the other is rendered inactive until a new set can be established.

Name: Toro
Description: A shell that Ryo found is extremely dense and so far no blade has been able to pierce it nor has anything been able to split it or blow it up. So he keeps the big thing in a scroll and calls on it to block things he cannot when dodging isn’t an option. This shell appears around him, as in in front or wherever he is pointing the scroll when he opens it, he does not go into it. It's major weakness is a powerful blow focused in a single spot, this can punch a hole in it if it is above a B rank but B rank attacks will chip away at it's defense. 5 will shatter it. It can repair it's self when in it's scroll over some time.

BACKGROUND

Birth& Early Life Arc
From birth Ryo and his brother Ryu were inseparable. They did everything together and their father was insistent on them beginning their training early. Living in the forest as people that kept to themselves Ryo’s father started the training of his children. His father was a shinobi of the old way much like his father before him and so on from the time of the old Great Shinobi World. His father carried on the teaching and trainings of the old Hidden Mist, drilled into him from his ancestors. In the forest away form others the family trained and grew. Until, as fate would have it, a group of strangers came upon their home in the woods. His parents ,kind as they were, had no idea who they were showing hospitality to. A group of secret beings, people who do not often show themselves for they are wanted in most villages for terrible crimes. These people were servants of a terrible group known as the Pantheon. An underground organization made up of people who believed in a truth brought to them from a distant land. They were scoundrels simply gathering new men and bodies to be sold as slaves for the Houses, in search of new recruits for the games as well as for the dark operations the servants of the Houses sometimes were sent to do. They began noticing the boys of the nice family that gave them drink and shelter, but this calm was meant to end by night fall. As the travelers were given the barn to use as shelter for the night, the family retreated to the house. When night fell the travelers attacked, 4 of them trained in the ways of the shinobi, using deadly force. In an attempt to defend his family Ryo’s father, unable to think of something else to use to counter this brutal surprise attack and disgrace of their kindness, displayed a special ability of their family. This in turn surprised the attackers but not enough that they could not overcome the man, for more of their brethren, who had been waiting in the forest, attacked with them. They were unable to take his father alive, but as for the children, they were skilled and showed much promise for fighting as well as surprising chakra levels. They were to be taken and sold to the houses for the uses of their masters. Their mother fought...tried to protect them...and was killed for it.

The Life of a Slave (Academy Arc)
The boys were taken far away from the land they knew and brought before strange people, some mean others indifferent but all treated them like dirt. A man came to the place where Ryo and his brother were kept. He claimed he now owned Ryu, his brother and took him away. Ryo tried to fight when they came to pull his brother from his arms but it was futile. He was ripped from his brother and beaten for his disobedience. Now, beaten, and alone in a world he did not know, Ryo felt deaths cold embrace close over him. Even young he knew he was meant to die here. His life was broken and everything he knew and loved had been ripped from him just as his brother had been. In his darkest moment when all seemed lost, he heard his cell door open. Looking up he saw a man dressed in lavish blue robes with a weathered, strong face. He approached Ryo and inspected him. Ryo stared in wonder at the man with deep blue eyes as he looked him over and then finally the man stood and asked him “Boy, do you want to live?”. The look in the mans eye was not threatening, yet the question remained. Ryo thought, although he already knew he was dead, he thought of what he could possibly live for. Then, out of the blackness a thought, a dream, emerged. “I am already dead. But I would see my brother before my eyes close forever.” Saying this Ryo rose to his feet, a boy of 7 staring the man as best he could. The man waited, watching for a moment, then gave a slight grin and told the guard he was to buy the child. From that day the boy was to be taken and trained in the House of Poseidon.
From that day forward Ryo lived in a small cell to himself in a new place. It smelled of salt and water but he was cared for. Food and some clothing provided. However he was meant to fight, trained in the Shinobi arts, at a much higher and stricter degree then his father had ever done. He learned much of his new world quickly, for any other way and he would have died. This new world was controlled by the most powerful House and each House represented a powerful God of a distant land. Ryo was educated in these gods by a fellow slave soon after his arrival. Ryo now lived under the God Poseidon, the lord of the Seas, the mighty earth shaker. This was fine by him after learning a few of the stories but he knew not to grow to attached to this, for he was here to find his brother and get home. That was the dream he held onto. He was told he had to fight for glory and honor for the House he represented, and if he was lucky he would die for those very things. Anything his master demanded of him he had to preform. A brutal life style but he was trained well and with his fathers early guidance he grew into a strong and destructive force under the guidance of the House of Poseidon. Brutal and unforgiving in battle much like the sea can be. This was never what he wanted, and when no one could see his weakness, he cried for what he had to do and for those lost to him and because of him. His past life slowly slipping away with time but he refused to let it be forgotten.

Never Lose (Genin Arc)
The beginning of his training was extremely strenuous but in order to prove himself he had to complete a final challenge. He had to win a fight of single combat against an already established champion of the House. Now at the age of 10, after 4 hard years of training in the deadly arts, Ryo had to best a man no less then 7 years his elder. This may only be 17, but in this life, to live that long is to survive many fights, and these fights are to the death. As well as overcoming secret dangerous missions where life is always the gamble. Ryo decided that in order to gain freedom of any sort he would have to be able to go out on these missions, for it was the only way to get away. Then he could disappear and find his brother. He could never lose a fight, his brothers life might depend on him remaining alive to find him. When his time came, Ryo surprised everyone, by showing absolutely no mercy, and not holding back anything. The champion was made to look like a toddler as the child beat him to within an inch of his life then ended the fight for good. The match over and Ryo the victor, he received the mark of Poseidon on his right forearm, the Blue Trident. After this fight the head of the House decided he was ready to represent the House in the games against other Houses. This is how dominance was shown. Whichever House had the most powerful shinobi’s under it’s control, was the ruler. Games were held often and all the fighters were shown before the games commenced. It was here Ryo found his brother. Although his brother was no more. Now a souless killer remained, he had forgotten his past, probably because he could not bear it, and embraced his new world. He had been taken in by the House of Ares, trained to love blood and war. Nothing else now mattered to Ryu. Part of Ryo died when he witnessed him fight, basking in the blood of the fallen where Ryo wished nothing more then to wash it from both their hands.
Ryo was to fight a duo, a pair of brothers from the House of Dionysus. He had witnessed them fight earlier and thus had no concern for the outcome. Besides, what did he have to live for now? His brother, the one he knew and loved was dead. When the pair attacked him Ryo acted without thinking, his mind elsewhere, allowing his body to do what it knew, dodge, evade, strike, defend, find opening, exploit weakness. Like a matra of calming motion he was familiar with. He ended the match in a way that was unexpected to him and the spectators. One of them got a lucky hit, slicing the back of Ryo’s leg bringing him to the ground. As they brought what was meant as a killing blow, Instinct took over, awakening Ryo’s kekkei genki, used by his father and unknown to him. It saved his life and allowed him to end the pair before him, freeing them from this life. After this he had an audience with the Head of the House of Poseidon. He was told he had earned the right of Champion, and as a reward he was to be given a special sword. One that would connect with his soul and be given power from his very chakra. He prefomed may fights after this rising higher still as a great champion of Poseidon. Never gaining what he desired but honing his skills, and kekki genkai none the less. He was a powerful force to be reckoned with. He always dad the fear that one day his brother would fall in the battles, or worse still he would have to fight him. Could he kill his own brother? After another 3 years of doing the his masters bidding in the arena he was called to a mission outside the blood soaked sands.
New World (Chunin Arc)
Ryo’s attention was perked. He had wanted a mission to get a chance to escape. But he no longer needed to find his brother...nevertheless a chance like this was too good to pass. He was to kill a member of the Are’s house. Someone who was causing problems for the Pantheon as a whole and seeking undeserved power. Upon embarking for this Ryo decided he would not return. He was to seek out his brother and free him and bring him back from the dark place he was in. He found the House of Ares, a place that imitated war in everything even appearance and the feeling you got as you drew close to it. If Ryo was seen there would be hell to pay simply upon sight. So remaining in the shadows he infiltrated the manor and found the slave cells. It was difficult but he had never had better motivation for success. He found his brother in a cell to himself, but he did not seem displeased. Approaching the cell from the shadows he called out to his lost brother. Eyes snapped to Ryo, the eyes that no longer belonged to his brother. They used to be blue, an exact match to Ryo’s, now however....they had a redish tint and crimson pupil. A sneer appeared as his brother spoke. “Have you come to kill me for my success?” Ryo, was in disbelief. Did he not recognize his brother? “Ryu, it’s me, Ryo. We are leaving this place. This life is not ours and we have earned our freedom. “ Ryu laughed out loud, making Ryo retreat to the shadows. ‘I have no wish to leave. I have an endless number of men to kill here and i am rewarded for it! I love this. You want freedom? come closer and I shall free you from this life.” Ryo was didn’t know what to think. Had he lost his brother? This couldn’t be.
Their talk had alerted the others and in turn the guards. Ryo’s time was up. Men began charging down the halls, they would be there in seconds. A quick decision, Ryo looked at his brother, or the man that was once his brother. “Time is short and we both know how easily life can be taken away. Come to your senses and find me brother. I will not loose faith in you.” Ryo then preformed a jutsu that leveled the rushing guards. Then cut the Bars to his brothers cell and departed the place. As he left he triggered his gifts to Ares. In his name his brother was taken, broken and lost. He was to pay. The exploding tags he had laid around the manor began to erupt in plumes of fire, death and unleashing cascading rubble on all below it. Hundreds of tags erupted, the once great and menacing house of war was reduced to a pile of rocks in seconds and Ryo, the one to blame. However the explosion was far greater then Ryo had planned. It was enough to send him flying before he could get out of the blast radius, sending him into the ocean.
He awoke on the back of a massive turtle traveling to a land in the distance. When Ryo looked to his back nothing but water was seen. A voice spoke to Ryo, “Your time is not over. Change the world, but start with yourself boy.” With that the turtle landed on shore and Ryo jumped off it’s back and asked it where it had taken him. “You are back in the land of your father, here your life is meant to be. Live” The turtle descended into the ocean, its shell submerging under the waves until it vanished completely. For two full years Ryo traveled the land, learning what was happening and familiarizing himself with a free life. He was no longer a slave but his violent lifestyle was no longer demanded. He lived alone in the forest for the time, Going into small villages to do small jobs for food and money when needed but keeping his distance. He began learning of a war raging between villages. The part of him he kept down, the part trained to fight and kill began to stir, but he repressed it. There was no reason for that now. Thats when he witnessed an act that changed his mind. a gang began to harass and beat on a woman and her child in an ally. Ryo intervened. Killing the men and leaving the town. Soon, he learned things like that happened during wars. Everyday women and children were killed, and children were forced to fight. This was his life, forced to fight and made to lose everything. This had to stop. He then sought out the closet village to him...The Forsaken Heavens and became a citizen. After demonstrating some of his skills to the jonin trainers he was givin the ninja rank of Chunin, not for skill that exceed his rank but his age deemed him to young for anything else. He was determined to get involved in the war he heard of and see the people protected. He had no family, but he did have the people around him. Those are the ones he would see to. They would always have him.

The dark blue sky above was keeping her jewel like stars from view tonight, covered by a thick sheet of clouds. Not even the glorious moon was visible behind the menacing blanket. Strolling along the dusty path through the cool night, a rumble broke the quiet, followed by a flash to shatter the stillness. Ryo’s pace didn’t quicken as the fat rain drops plummeted to earth. He was close to the tavern and didn’t mind the water falling around him. It was cold and each impact seemed to clear his heavy mind. He entered the tavern, which was gloomy and smelled of smoke and old beer. The door closed behind him as he surveyed the room, a few heads turned in his direction, but eyes didn’t stay on him long before they returned to their drinks. A few tables stood between him and the bar, about 4 on either side with a decent space in the middle which formed a path to the bar. As he approached the bar, a single waitress walked by carrying a tray of drinks for a rowdy group towards the front of the tavern. She gave a polite smile and nod as she passed. Taking a seat at the bar Ryo motioned to the barkeep for a drink as the ruckus reached his ears. The table the waitress had delivered the drinks too was now completely entertained by her and showed their affection by shouting obnoxious cat calls, but many were being very rude and inappropriate. Ryo took a deep breath and closed his eyes as the bar tender set a drink before him. Then he heard the sounds of a slight struggle as the waitress began to walk away and the men began playfully grabbing at her. They had clearly drank to much and bar tender at this point had had enough. Sounds of his foot falls were heard as he stormed over to the table and began demanding for the four men to leave. They grew quiet as their fun was interrupted, and silence fell in the tavern, only to be broken by a crack of thunder from the storm outside.
Ryo sipped his drink with his eyes still closed, enjoying the fact that a rather distasteful situation was being put to rest. Then the sound of shattering glass cut through the bar and may people jumped from their chairs and backed to the walls, away form the table. Ryo’s eyes snapped open, but he merely looked over his shoulder to see what was taking place. the bartender was on the floor, holding the back of his head, clearly in pain, the leader of the group straining over him with what remained of a beer bottle in his right hand while two other men held the waitress as she attempted to struggle against them. “Damn” Ryo thought to himself. Everything was fine until this. The man over the bartender, who happen to have a nasty scar across his cheek, began speaking. “We’ll leave when we’re good and ready. You can’t be tellin us what to do boy, you got to be respecten your elders.” Chuckles followed Scar face’s words, as well as moans of un-comfort from the woman being held against her will. This was enough. “Let her go and leave. You’ve had your fun but enough is enough.” He spoke to them without moving his body or head. They didn’t like this newcomer telling them anything it seemed, the sneer said that much. “You ain’t be open your mouth at all best we shut it for you stranger!” Scar face spoke and pointed the broken beer bottle for emphasis. It seemed like this wasn’t going to end without a more forceful road, but one final attempt was made nonetheless. “Just let the lady go and leave. No shame in that. You’ve had fun now that be the end.” Even as Ryo spoke he knew this was about to get ugly. People just never listen, especially when drunk. Reason is juts a random assortment of letters at that point with no meaning. The man that wasn’t helping hold the girl decided he wanted to do something at this point and bum-rushed Ryo’s back giving a throaty howl as he charged.‘Ahhhhh” Ryo wasn’t gonna play games, quick and precise so he could get back on the road. He placed his drink down and as the man’s foot steps got closer he preformed a body flicker, to now stand next to his stool. The man, confused as to Ryo’s disappearance, was reaching for where Ryo had just previously been as Ryo kicked his stool up with some force, lunching it from the ground to the mans mid section, knocking the wind from him and forcing him to lurch forward. Ryo ended him by quickly garbing the back of his head in a hand full of hair, and forcefully smashing the man’s face into the bar in one push. The mans face collided with the small glass that had held Ryo’s drink, shattering it then colliding with the hard wooden counter, sending up wood chips. Ryo held is head there for a moment, not looking at the others, as the body quickly went limp. Ryo released the hair and the man’s body feel to the ground in a loud thump. It was unclear if he was dead or knocked out. ‘Boy you’ve done it now!” Scar Face shouted, motioning the other two after him. The men shoved the girl into the table, causing her to fall to the floor. Both pulled out knives and walked briskly to Ryo, flanking him on either side. Ryo’s body was sideways to them, his right side facing them. He gave them a side stare as they approached and as the man to his right grew closer, he sent a round house hopping to catch the man in the temple. the man though surprised by Ryo’s attack ducked and followed with a lunge. Ryo was able to move enough to dodge the knife but ended up getting tackled into the bar. The other man then slashed at Ryo’s face. Ryo caught his arm at the wrist and twisted it back, causing him to drop the blade then elbowed the man around his waist in the back of the neck and reached around the mans head grabbing under his chin and pulling his head around and back to twist the man away from his waist. This worked but only to have the man stab up at Ryo’s forearm while the other one sent a punch for his face. Ryo acted fast, releasing the man’s chin and catching the man’s fist. It was a lazy shot that lacked stepped. Probably affected from the alcohol. Regardless, Ryo used both arms to swing the man into his companion’s back, pushing the man still with a knife into a table Then twisting the wrist he still held down so the man was looking at the ground, Ryo brought an elbow down on the mans elbow, causing a satisfying snap as the arm broke, then grabbed the man by the back of the pants and shirt collar and forced his head, although it was already close to the bar, below the counter hard. The man had started screaming from the broken arm but was quickly silenced as he was shoved int the wood below the bar with enough force to send his head through it, knocking him unconscious if not more. The third man, still with knife now lunged again at Ryo, but he was to slow. Ryo, in the same motion, grabbed a kuni from his leg holster and brought it up into the man’s stomach ending his rush and life. Yanking the kuni free, the body rolled to the floor and Ryo’s eyes locked on Scar face, who stood open mouthed at what had happened and snatched up the girl realizing he was now alone. “Sss stop there or i’llll kkkkill er!” He stammered as he held the broken glass close to her throat. Ryo was still learning the appropriate methods for hostage situations. To often had he just killed, but for this he didn’t want any harm for the woman. He opened his hands at his sides, palms up at the man, in a sign of giving up, with the kuni dangling as his thumb went into it’s loop. “Easy. You can still leave. Let her go and never come back here alright.” Ryo spoke in a calm even tone although the man was not eased by his words in the least. He was to jumpy and he pressed the bottle edge to close to the girls throat causing a bit of blood to trickle from the cut. Enough. Ryo’s face hardened and a speed he reserve for real fights came into play. His hand was a blurr as it flew across his body, releasing the kuni which hit it’s mark easily. Straight into the head. The body began to fall back from the force and as soon as the grip was lessened the girl tried to run forward and tripped. Ryo had no time to wait around, he moved swiftly, stopping only by the body to retrieve his kuni and then was out the door. It was still closing before anyone registered his absence.

First of all, your rp sample, on which we base if you are qualified to be a higher ranked ninja than a genin is...approved. The only thing I'd ask of you to watch out for next time is to make paragraphs. It makes reading easier and you can notice different actions more distinctively. Otherwise, the desciptions are accurate, pleasant to read, the actions were well narrated and excecuted. For me, you can get your rank as Highly Skilled Chuunin.

A few things bother me here and there. The first thing would be how it is excellent for running electrical current through it. How is your character not affected by the electricity? Also, does your special blue part mean that you got some sort of special unlimited chakra reserve? If that is the case, I'll have to refuse your sword and ask you to arrange it a little.

If this scroll is destroyed or damaged, does this still work? Or will the connection just stop existing?

Kai is a simple jutsu, as body flicker is. It doesn't get "stronger" like other jutsus can. Kai is a simple disrupting of your chakra flow, which breaks almost all genjutsus (the sharingan goes directly to your brain without needing chakra), since they are based upon the chakra that is in someone's body. Without a flowing chakra, the genjutsu can't reside and be real for the opponent. So, it is a simple D rank~

I had some hard time to make sense of this jutsu; first, the flame, what is for? Just decoration or... something else? Plus, are you fusing lightning and water chakra? If you are, you are using a storm release, which is a no-no since you are water and lightning only. And if it cuts so well, tearing metal like paper, it's an S rank.

Medically speaking, and even naruto-wise speaking, I don't like this one. First, because of the lack of oxygen that'll come to the brain; it causes damages. Second, because when the brain doesn't get enough oxygen, all senses and reactions etc are slowed down, if not simply cut off. Third, a heart that stops beating completely, is something that doesn't happen in nature. The heart slows down, like with frogs that go into hibernation. But it doesn't stop in any case. Please revise this jutsu.

Heya Booky allow me to clear a few things up!

In regards to the first, Binding Chains of Lightning,
-It is ment as C because the word "Severe" was not ment to be used. Instead It is suppose to be more of a taser feeling as well as a way of binding someone. Please take that into consideration but we can still change the rank if you'd like.

As for the Second! (Lightning release False Darkness)
- This is a cannon jutsu that can be verified here
