A new begining... (private kazu and sora only)

Kazuki walked along the roads of aurora sighing heavily to himself. He hadn't been back in a shinobi village in years and was greatly considering coming out of retirement now that his son Kenza had already become a full fledged shinobi as well as his wife Hinata Hyuuga coming out of retirement. His skills were incredibly rusty and he some what just didn't have the motivation in which to move forward in life. The death of his student Seirei Sora was too much for the aging legend and though he wouldn't admit it, he knew that deep in his heart he always blamed himself for her death.

Stopping Kazuki just stared down the road watching people walking back and forth not even paying attention to his intimate thoughts. He clenched his fists tightly as he felt the warm sting of tears forming in the corners of his eyes. This was something of a daily ritual for him now so he had finally learned to run away from the macho man prospect and just let his emotions out. So there he stood in the middle of the street silently weeping for the student/ daughter that he had cared for more than anything.

"So-....Sora... I-I-I- I'm sorry.... I failed you... all this time I thought as long as I made you incredibly strong I thoguht I would be able to keep you safe... Sora.. please forgive your failure of a teacher and save me a place one day in your kingdom in the sky."

"I don't know, you'd have to be dead as well as I for that to happen yes? Perhaps I'll make you my adviser to the person who rules up there, which of course is me. Or maybe I might just have you be a citizen. Ah, who cares? I have time to think yes?"

I smirked and crossed my arms in front of my chest, a voice sounding from behind Kazuki as he stood there weeping. A small giggle followed those statements as well and surely I knew his reaction to this by now. However, it never did get old the look on his face. When and if he would turn around, he'd get to see me again. Longer pink hair, my grayish blue eyes gleaming with the same hope. And now of course, over my Jounin vest and gear, there was a white robe with symbols on the bottom of it. And there, on my forehead, rested my Aurora headband. I smiled, now awaiting his reaction.

"Kami.. are you torturing me for not saving such a young soul by making me hear her voice?" Kazuki growled angerily before turning to see his student. His jaw dropped eyes shot open and he just stood there starring at her.

"Sora?" Kazuki said before facefalling.

"Yes Kazuki?"

There I stood as well watching him being "tortured" by his own disbelief in the fact that I was alive. He was shocked alright but in a happy and good way. When I answered though, my voice had a hint of more maturity to its tone, as if sounding more like a womanly voice, yet still something young and not worn with the times. My form was definitely stronger and yet still lean, taller, and of course had a striking aura about it that screamed "power." I waited for his next response before approaching him and saying anything else.

"Well... tradition shows that I repectfully show you the honor and respect you deserve. But...." Kazuki suprises Sora by embracing her in a large hug. Holding her tightly he smiles knowing that she is in fact alive.

"Sora.... I can't belive it's you...."

At that moment I couldn't contain any of the emotions I was "trained" to hold back. I was back, I was alive and it felt as though I had a new soul. Being in my old teacher's arms never felt more relaxing and I couldn't hold back the smiles that were forcing themselves wider onto my face. He seemed happy as well. And the realization of my resurrection finally set into the scene, we hugged it out. A teacher, a student, reunited once more.

"It is nice to see you again Kazuki, I must admit. And I believe you have gotten smaller. Either that, or I've grown taller."

I tried for a laugh, and whether he did or not didn't matter to me because all that mattered was this moment and the closeness we shared as teacher and student. How personal, as people, we knew the other. And how awesome a team we were. And all the memories we shared of course that would be playing over and over in our minds till the time now, in the present.

"well that is what old age does to you Sora. I am 30 now" Kazuki smiled softly as he showed her his old headband.

"I am also a retired shinobi"

"Well then, I see. Even though you are retired, I still do not consider you old. I mean, any more and I'll catch up to you soon. I am 17 after all."

I stood there, letting go of the hug and looking him almost directly in the eye. He did seem to get shorter from aging, although he wasn't that old to begin with. 30, he still has a life left to live. So what he spoke was nonsense. The wind then blew by making it slightly chilly but nothing that wasn't endurable.

"So, this is your first time back in the Aurora village I'm guessing yes? It must feel good to be back home right Kazuki?"

"well it is a little bitter sweet. My son told me to come and visit him because supposably the Kage here knows of me and wanted to talk. Heh well thats what I get for living with normal people I suppose" Kazuki laughs to himself.

"Yeah I know the Kage, nice person. Definitely knows you. I don't know if they wanted to talk to you though. However it is nice to see you here and it'll definitely make the Kage happy. In fact, I think it already has put a smile of their face."

I laughed a little too, trying to be a little casual and unsuspecting in the matter that he was bringing up. He hadn't noticed yet I was Kage and I didn't want him to notice or get it until the last possible moment, back to my old antics: Never felt so awesome to be playing tricks on him again. Haha.

Anyway, there we stood. Two people in the center of town, others passing us left and right in a normal fashion. Although eyes had found themselves onto both of us. Him, from being so famous and well renowned as well as a powerful ninja. And me, from well, it was obvious.

Kazuki took a deep breath of the chilly air before looking at sora once more. He was incredibly happy that she looked as though she had aged a bit. She was turning in fact into a powerful shinobi and he could sense her powers were becoming greater then his own. He accepted this as a part of aging.

"I am suprised that you didn't freak out when I mentioned my son. Hehe before you used to make all those jokes about me never settling down"

"Kazuki... what do winds show you?"

A pause.

"Change. And the plants that grow just outside these borders, the nature of it all. It grows as the seasons change yes? As did I. I came back and I matured. That doesn't mean that I can't pull a few pranks now and then but for the most part, I have grown. So says everyone. However, the chilly winds bring something you would have never expected, something new. But, I am in order to congratulate your son for becoming the full fledged shinobi that he has become. I am very proud of him.

I spoke as another wind blew in past us. My longer hair swayed in the wind. And yet my smile spoke of my personality kindly, saying nothing but nice things. Friendly nature and other endearing things. It was a wonder that he hadn't noticed yet.

Kazuki just stared at her for a while. She seemed... so different. It would be an insult to simply just say that she matured a little because that wasn't true she matured greatly. There was something about how she talked about the kage that made him think but he brushed it off. Sora would tell him she seemed more mature and a little to old for her pranks. Or so kazuki thought.

"So are you here to just speak to the Kage or are you here to spend a little time with your friend and old student too? I hope it's both, because the first one you've pretty much covered now, haven't you?"

A smile adorned my face even wider than before. Any more and it may make others think for a minute but not Kazuki, with him, it could just be that I was happy to see him. But if this keeps up, I'd have to just to tell him myself.

Kazuki was shocked for a second but then shook it off and smiled. With a little more training Sora could in fact become one of the strongest shinobi the world has ever seen. So then why should he be suprised that she was a kage.

"I will take option #2 kage-sama" Kazuki smirked

"Why thank you for noticing my old friend. It's so nice to have someone appreciate your rank in the world. Now then, shall we go have fun and so some friend like things like old friends are supposed to do?"

I smiled, and walked over to him, the wind still a bit breezy. But, it seemed to chill down a lot more than from before. Now standing side by side, I awaited for his walking stride to start us off to new memories.

"lead the way Sora-san" Kazuki said laughing and shaking his head.

"Now, now Kazu.. you've come a long way. You were once probably maybe the most powerful ninja I knew. You were my teacher, my friend and yet you need someone still to lead the way for you. Gee, how pathetic are you gonna get? Did you lose your sense of direction and memory with age as well, old man?"

I stuck my tongue out.

"You whippersnapper back in my day we respected our elders! OW my back my back" Falls onto the ground holding his back.

"Wow you really are old. Let me help you up... NOT."

I stepped away and started to walk away in the opposite direction, hoping he would chase after me. If I knew Kazu, he'd be up and chasing me within minutes.

Kazuki snorted in anger that his little trick didn't work as he jumped to his feet and ran full speed towards his student.

I smirked and as he started to quickly dash at me from behind, I moved to the side at the last minute so he flew right past me as he was running and I stood there watching him trip up when he realized he overran it. I laughed when he gained his balance back.

Kazuki clearly annoyed fell forward placing his hand on the ground flipping over so that he was facing sora. He then started running full speed at sora once more.

"Okay lets see what you got!? I am not to old to school you in a lesson or two." Kazuki smirked punching the ground as a small rift open up towards sora.

"I don't feel much like fighting. I don't doubt you could school me, isn't that what a teacher is for, sensei?"

I stuck my tongue out at him, dodging the punch and disappearing and reappearing on the other side of Kazuki. After image body technique, something I had learned from him. I smiled slightly, and then shook my head.

"Kazuki.. it doesn't feel right."

Kazuki would fall over on his face and skid a little. He was getting old and was incredibly out of practice. It was a miracle alone that he simply could see her movements.
