Village Gates

All travelers must post within the village gates to say they are in the Aurora village.

It must have been close to 3 am by the time Icisia came through the gates on her horse. She shivered from the cold and dismounted, leaving Harmonia by the gates. Then in the dead of the night, she walked into the Aurora village.

I had heard some news about something happening around the Aurora village and when I finally arrived at the gates, a wind blew over. The only person I recognized standing before me right now was my old sensei, the sensei that had somehow lost her memory and fell into a hopefully temporary state of amnesia. I approached her slowly.

She turned and saw Seirei approaching her. "I know how I have amnesia now. I was attacked by a cloaked man and..." she lowers her voice. "lost." She sighs. "He placed his hand on my head and somehow cleared my memory! Oh, as to why I am here, I have a bad feeling that I must protect a friend."

"So you had that same feeling that something wasn't right? I mean I had that 'something is amiss' feeling in my gut. I wasn't feeling too well and I had a guess it had to do with home, here in the Aurora village. As to which friend is in trouble, I don't have a clue. Amnesia... maybe we can help get your memory back in the process, Icisia-chan."

I was now standing next to her, smiling softly. However this strange feeling wouldn't go away... what was it?

Icisia nods. "Yeah, I can't explain it. I just had to get to this village right away."

"You mean you had to come home? Me too. And it's not homesickeness either."

I chuckled and thought that to be a cute little joke. Hopefully it would earn a smile from her.

Icisia smirked, a slight smile crawling across her lips. "Could be. I have a feeling it may be something a little more than that though."

Sensing that nothing was going to happen to her friend for now, Icisia vanishes in a burst of rose petals.

That was more of a clone of myself that was speaking with Icisia. A stand in if you will. When I arrived here at the village gates of Aurora, the clone disappeared. I expected my eyes to view the much loved and beautiful home I treasured and grew up in. A village full of peace and serene nature, some place that I deeply held within my heart. But when I walked a little further into the village past the gates, I could smell things. I could smell something burning and I saw ash on the floor. I saw dead bodies lying everywhere. And basically the whole village was being or had been ransacked. What happened to my lovely Aurora village? I saw the fires burning and I ran up the side of one of the buildings still in tact, after reaching the top of it, I jumped into the air and did quick hand signs/

Releasing winds at high speeds and great powers. Two fires were put out and now there was a little less to worry about. But my job wasn't done, I began my journeys further into my home to find the one person I knew could help me, Icisia-sensei.

As the smoke cleared from the gates opening, a gentle wind blew through the gates, a man following its path as if pushed forward by the air. As he found himself directly under the gates, his steps stop and his eyes dart around the area, surveying what has happened. Obviously not too much as the entire village is intact for the most part from what he could see. As his breathing stayed steady, he reached into his robes and pulled out a scroll and held it into the light so its symbol naming it the Weapons scroll showed.

As if satisfied with this, Surp places the scroll back into his robe and looks to where he can see the most shadows playing in what light there is. Then, pulling his robe back tight around him, he continues walking into the village. The wind continuing to push him it seems as the surrounding smoke is pushed from him and out of the way as he walks.
