The Weights of Our Burdens
Fukyuu was a surprised as the country side changed before his eyes. Slowly changing from the lush tropical greenery in their village to the grassy central plains of the Southern Plateau. Finally arriving at what was called the Dead Line, an unknown boundary between the grasslands and the dead lands of the southern part of the island. His eyes were widened as his brothers had him practicing on various chakra manipulation jutsu, eventually teaching him one of their favorites, The Chakra Pulse.
Of course he couldn't do it as effectively, however at his age he could use it around his hands in the form of a small push of chakra. His laughter filled the trip with mirth as he practiced with the techniques his brother had given him, shortly mastering the Chakra Pulse though he was disheartened when he couldn't unleash a full body one like his elder brother. He quickly discovered his gift to change his chakra form, his eyes widened at the fact that he could change his chakra to fit his ideas though sometimes it didn't work.
His arrival to the Valley of Silence, the official entrance to the Village Hidden in Darkness, was to be quite frank, silent. The Valley seemingly sucking up all sound inside of it though the brothers managed to make enough sound, even if it was only heard by them. Fukyuu however was excited when he exited the valley, the sight of the Village laid out below him capturing his eyes instantly. The sight too much to take in at once let alone span silently as his mouth gaped wide at it. His brother chuckled as he lead into the village.
His eyes looked about watching the movements of the village, idly noting that most people looked like him somewhat. He smiled, feeling more at home here than he ever did back at his old village. His brother directed him towards their home, his other brothers there along with their apparent girlfriends. The house was fairly big and seemed to grow bigger out of no where. This caught Fukyuu's attention oddly as he watched the build warp slightly before shifting to accommodate what looked like an entirely new room.
He noticed immediately however upon entering how much of his chakra was being drained by the buildings, fretting quickly he tugged on his elder brother's shirt and pointed out that they were walking into a trap in which his brother shook his head. He told him that this was one of the villages ninjutsu, The Dark Buildings, built and maintained by the users chakra, luckily for Fukyuu his brothers were giving off extra chakra so that he wouldn't have to suffer too badly.
His life quickly settled into a focused schedule, between training and studies. His brothers often instructed him in kenjutsu and other forms of weaponry as well as the entry date for the academy drew near. His first day seemed odd for him as he was light years ahead of everyone else, and when pointing this out, was instantly scolded and forced to stand on his head for the remaining of the class period much to his displeasure and his classes excitement. He quickly grew tired of this sequence as he awaited his next year in the academy.
Outside of the academy his brothers continued his own personal studies and training, opting to get him a personalized sensei as well, the brothers found one that seemed to be oddly content with his status as a teacher. Who was this man pray tell? None other than the original Kuro Konpaku in the flesh.
Before Fukyuu could actually become a Konpaku he had to train in the ways of the Konpaku, which his sensei took to heart immediately. Noting that while Kuro's other studies were far advanced, his clan studies were severely lacking. Thus he took it upon himself to drill the studies into his head even more. His physical training came in a weird form for him, his teacher instead of giving him exercises, chained his body to five large iron weights. The weights themselves almost four times his own physical body weight, the chains melded to his body with seals that his instructor used to seal away his other strength as well.
His strength training simply consisted of him trying to move with the weights attached to his body. The physical exercise so stressing that most days his body was aching before he had even been five minutes in. It took him months just to make progress, his teach often noting that for so much potential his body was terribly weak, often times belittling him to the point where he was in tears and refused to go to training after school. His brothers refused to give him consolation, telling him that it was time to grow up and stop pitying himself.
Seeing he wasn't going to get any help from his brothers, he continued his training, this time training to become so good that he could smack the smirk off his teachers face. His teacher oddly noted that his progress was coming along good and moved him on to the next phase, which was fighting with the weights. This much more tricky as it involved moving in multiple ways while tied to massive weights. His body often exited this phase of training aching and bruised, his teacher always healing the injuries before training was over, and always complimenting on a job well done.
This training regime continued well into his third year in the academy. His skill in hand to hand fighting increasing to the point where he could actually lift up the ball with this body parts and attack his teacher back instead of dodging. Since he still wasn't a Konpaku he wasn't allowed to learn any of the darkness techniques, so upon finding out his element was fire, his teacher began to instruct him in the ways of fire. His jutsu training however was as slow as his strength training, often taking almost three months to master one jutsu, his ensemble of techniques didn't grow that much over the two years that he was still in the academy.
His strength training had finally come to the point where he was able to move quickly with the weights on him, the seals on his body obviously making it tougher on him that normal however he was able to quickly adapt to this. His training was finally able to bear fruit however, his progression in fire jutsu astounded his teacher as he learned such techniques as the
Burning Whisper in less than a month. His brothers celebrated his training often by taking him out to village events such as battles, and festivals, however his crowning day came with his genin exam.
Set in a massive stadium were him and his graduating class. His brothers and sensei were seated at the front row as the entire village came to watch the graduation exams. His Sensei had taken him to observe the previous years exams as he knew he would be going through these as well, and oddly noting that every year it was the same thing, a simple tournament to weed out the weak. Out of a class of four hundred students, only fifty of them would become eligible ninja.
The tournament began with a short speech by the current Kage, his speech however earning him a roar of applause from the audience as the students around him cheered with anticipation, a quickly look to his brothers and sensei told him the was NOT supposed to do that. He watched as the tournament kicked off, his first few opponents were severe pushovers, show offs in their own right as they attempted to use flashy techniques instead of using stealth and intelligence like his sensei had taught him.
His patience for this tournament was very high however as after dealing with his teacher for four years he had learned that things like this weren't even irritating. His opponents kept coming and coming, but unfortunately for them, his prowess in hand to hand combat had increased substantially since his entrance into the village. Finally his fight for the remaining spot in the graduating class roster.
His opponent, another high prospect fighter who managed to squash every single person he faced. The sneer on the boys face was evident as he looked over Fukyuu with disgust before settling into a light family taijutsu stance. Fukyuu however didn't settle into any battle stance, his body straight as he waited for the judge to begin. His opponent grinning as he took to a mad dash, dipping from side to side to prevent Fukyuu from tracking him as he jumped up into high overhead kick.
Fukyuu instinctively stepped back as he created a simple bunshin to block his backward movement from sight as he lashed out with his bokken with an upwards slash, the hit striking his opponent on the back of the leg, causing him to fall to the ground in pain. His opponent hopped back up to his feet quickly however preventing Fukyuu from ending the fight as he dashed him head on once again, this time putting on a greater burst of speed.
The boys speed surprised Fukyuu just long enough for him to get right into Fukyuu defense as he caught the boy with a crushing axe kick to the chin, sending the boy flying backwards. His body rolled against the ground for a few feet his mind idly registering the pain as he rolled to his feet and blocked the next strike with his bokken. His opponent grinned as his assault quickened, getting in a few strikes here in there before Fukyuu had simply had enough.
He jumped back a few feet, his opponents grin increasing as he watched Fukyuu retreat. He called out to him, commenting on how he was bitching out as Fukyuu tugged as his sleeves and pants. He sighed as he simply ripped off his pants, revealing the cargo pants underneath as he rolled up the sleeves of his hoodie, a steeled look on his face silenced his opponent as he placed his palms together in a release handseal. His opponent noticed quickly the four black marks on his arms and legs, as chains shot out his arms, followed by a massive iron weight. Fukyuu gritted his teeth in pain as he did this the ball and chain adding to his weight, however he felt oddly lighter than before as his opponent arched his eyebrow and laughed at him.
He sneered as he commented on Fukyuu's stupidity believing that the ball and chain would make him slower, his opponent took this time to gloat and simply walk towards Fukyuu much towards the crowds obvious displeasure. He grinned as he cocked his fist back, certain that Fukyuu couldn't dodge it before unleashing a hay maker upon Fukyuu's face. His smirk died however when his fist was caught, the grip on it tightening so much that the bones popped and shifted as Fukyuu's fist dug into his opponents gut, the pressure so much that it sent him flying half way across the field.
His opponent coughed violently as he clutched his chest, slowly looking up to an advancing Fukyuu the balls overing in the air as he ran, his eyes set dead on him as he jumped into the air before forming a single back flip dropping his entire weight plus the increased weight of the iron balls as he removed his chakra from them allowing them to increase his dropping speed as his foot impacted the chest of his opponent. With a rather large crack and a resonating boom, his match was called, his opponents chest crushed in by the final attack as the chains and ball retracted back into his arms.
He looked up to his sensei and brothers before grinning as he was named the last student to graduate of the class as well as the top of his class. The next day at the academy he found out that the person he had battled had died later on because of medical complications, however he was not in trouble because of the fights parameters. He was given his headband and officially inducted as a ninja of Yamigakure no Sato at the bright young age of eleven.
